This show started out as a favor to the owner of Indie Band Radio, when he was having computer problems, we would log into his streaming server and keep his station going. After doing this a few times, we decided that playing Pennsylvania bands could help our Alle-Kiski Music Scene out. The first ever "Pennsylvania Rock Show" consisted of Brian Shaffer from (kaj), and Bill Domiano of the Alle-Kiski Music Scene dejaying the mp3s that Bill had collected through his website. Brian had donated a pc mic to do that first show. At the end of the show, Brian turned to Bill and stated, you know this could get big. The next show, Brian brought Curt Costanzo's sound equipment, and we were streaming live music from the Valley.
For over 1 year now, we have been providing Pennsylvania bands with a way to get their music heard all over the world for free. We bring the bands to our studio for live performances, add their music to ourr playlist, and broadcast their music world wide! We do not make any money off of advertisements of any kind! We do this for the love of the local music scene! We do have a support page where fans can make donations by purchasing stickers. All the money that has been made has gone directly back into the show, as well as some of our own personal money (my wife hates that part *chuckle*). We have used the money to purchase: microphones, audio stands, cords, mixers, a compressor, and so on...
All music that is played on the Pennsylvania Rock Show is used with expressed permission from the original artists, who retain all rights to said music.
